Victoria Davis is a spinto soprano, educator, and new faculty member at Fayetteville School of Music. Originally from Washington, D.C., she began studying classical voice at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts before earning her Bachelor’s degree at Oberlin Conservatory and her Master’s degree at Mannes School of Music in New York City.
As a performer, Victoria has sung leading and supporting roles with companies across the United States, including Geneva Light Opera, Connecticut Lyric Opera, and Little Opera Theatre of New York. She was a District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition and a finalist in the Jensen and Toland Greenfield Awards.
Alongside her stage career, Victoria has over a decade of teaching experience, beginning at Oberlin at just 19 years old. She has worked with students ranging in age from young children to adults, and her teaching philosophy emphasizes healthy vocal technique, musical expression, and confidence-building. She is also well-versed in gospel and jazz, giving her a wide stylistic range to support her students’ unique voices.
At Fayetteville School of Music, Victoria is excited to nurture the next generation of singers, guiding them with the same passion, discipline, and artistry that have shaped her own career.
