Ms. Andrea Tiffany-Clarinet

Andrea Tiffany received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and will continue studying the clarinet with Dr. Andy Hudson in Greensboro. Her musical training began on the cello at age 10, and she started learning the clarinet two years later after moving to Kwajalein, a small island without an orchestra. She was the principal clarinet, music librarian and a student ambassador at UAH for four years, and won the UAH Returning Music Student Scholarship Competition in 2015. As the previous Secretary and Vice President of the UAH Collegiate Chapter of Music Teachers National Association, she has given multiple presentations and lectures at national conferences and was selected to be the collegiate presenter at the 2017 Alabama Music Teachers Association State Conference. She also coordinated and conducted the 2017 Summer Band in Huntsville, AL.
Andrea is a founding member of The Boyer Trio, who was the alternate winner of the Alabama MTNA State Chamber Music Competition in 2017 and performed a recital hosted by the Mississippi Chamber Music Guild in April 2018. She has performed in masterclasses with the Inaugural Piano Trio and Andy Hudson. She is a passionate teacher, and enjoys dynamic lessons where her students can discover creative and individualized solutions to problems.
